Who: Our speakers will be Phyllis Teater (Chief Information Officer of the OSU Medical Center) and Michael Townsend (Chief Information Officer of the James Cancer Hospital).

What: Both CIOs of the OSU Medical Center and James Cancer Hospital will be speaking about IT opportunities in healthcare in the future.

With the advent of the Stimulus money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 on EMR/EHR, many changes are coming to IT healthcare and many more opportunities will present themselves.

Speakers Phyllis Teater, Interim CIO of The Ohio State University Medical Center, and Dr. R. Michael Townsend, CIO of the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center, the James Cancer Hospital, and the Solove Research Institute are two influential members in healthcare IT. They will be sharing the latest trends and technologies both in clinical and research technological impacts in medicine.
