About This Event

#StartupLokal community is back with its 15th meetup! This event is special and really big and is a part of PPKI (Pekan Produk Kreatif Indonesia) event, which is held at room Cendrawasih 2, Jakarta Convention Center.

10-20 startups will have 5 minutes pitch session each to share about their startups ideas. The judging panelists are investors who is looking for the best startups idea to invest. This program is a part of PPKI Business Connect event, where several other investors are invited to this event.

This event is powered by Project Eden. What is project Eden? http://eden.co.id Project Eden is a startup accelerator. This startup accelerator is startup ecosystem, located at Menteng area, with a space of 500 m² that can hold up to 30 startups simultaneously. Bernhard Soebiakto
Young Creative Entrepreneur who starting up his own company since his high school period. Turn around his Brand Design background, in 2005 he move setting up his Holding Company Octovate Group, an Incubator Group for Young Creative Entrepreneur in the field of Marketing Communication. Octovate setting up ventures with some leading specialist in industry such as Yoris Sebastian (OMG Consulting), Gunadi Sugiharso, Sumardy (OnBee), Kevin Mintaraga (Magnivate Group), Dian Muljadi (Fimela.com), Hanung Bramantyo (Dapur Film), Hakim Lubis (Octocomm) and Calvin Kizana as one of his new partner. Now his latest concern is how to empowering and connecting young techpreneurs with a sustainable component of the industry.

Calvin Kizana
A serial entrepreneur, strategist and professional IT consultant with more than 10 years extensive experience in mobile industry and internet space with implementation on local and global scale.
Calvin is a founder of Elasitas, a leading mobile technology company that has successfully securing projects and partnership with high profile companies across Europe, US and Asian region. E.g. Yahoo!, Nokia, Google, Samsung, RIM, Disney, Nimbuzz, Electronic Arts, Cartoon Networks and Mobile Carriers in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. He is also a co founder of Mobile Monday Indonesia and a member of Mobile marketing association. Apart from his achievement in Elasitas, he also found several leading mobile product in the market such as GameMachi (The First Mobile Social Game Platform), Menoo! (Location-based and Augmented Reality Mobile Food Finder), Praaat! (Location-based Mobile Instant Messaging) and Lacak (Location-based city directory).

Andi Sadha
Listed as 100 Indonesia Youngters Inc 2010 by Swa magazine, Andi Sadha with his partners established the now 9 year's old independent media specialist Activate. Together he and his team have grown this young organization to be one of the leading media specialists in Indonesia.
As the CEO, he leads the organization to continuously deliver effective and innovative communication channel solution for numerous blue chip companies. Graduated from Oklahoma State University, he started his career at Ogilvy media (and MindShare) and later at Starcom Worldwide Jakarta.
In addition from his passion with Activate, He is also actively supporting the advancement of media knowledge in Indonesia through his role as the organizing committee Chairman of Asia Pacific Media Forum, advising committee of Sparxup Award, as well as, among others, being a jury in Indonesia Young Media Cannes Lions competition, Bubu Award (2009, 2011) and other media awards, and a frequent speaker in media events and academic forum.

Kevin Mintaraga
Recognized as a finalist in 2010 Indonesian Young Creative Entrepreneur by British Council, Kevin with his partners established a leading digital agency Magnivate. The company now consists more than 80 people digital expert and savvy, trusted to handle digital marketing investment of high profile clients such as Danone, Samsung, Telkomsel, Kimberly Clarke, Frisian Flag, Unilever, Indofood and KAO.
As the CEO, Kevin has been working closely with Magnivate clients as their strategic partner / consultant providing business solution to transform their business approach through technology, and also handling their marketing & media investment in digital world.
Through his passion Kevin with partners created an investment company Jardintech Capital, focusing on a strategic financial investment in a tech startup business. He is also one of the jury of Sparxup Award.

Megain Widjaja
Prior returning to Jakarta, Megain worked at R.A Bench Wealth Management, Seattle, as an investment officer, where he was responsible for handling individual and corporate clients' investments across a range of financial instruments including hedge funds and commodity funds. In 2006 Megain founded Focus Media Indonesia and later Alternative Media Group in 2009 which currently has out-of-home media portfolio placed in many strategic places in 4 cities (Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Bali). Megain currently serves as the Technical Advisor to the Group.

Project Eden

We are calling for business ideas in the form of business plan or fact sheets or through our website form submission via http://eden.co.id. The deadline for the submission is 3rd of July at 12:00pm (noon). 10-20 startups will be selected to pitch at 9th of July event. Announcement for the startups to pitch will be made at 4th of July at http://www.eden.co.id and http://startuplokal.org and will be contacted directly.
